So how important are these facts? Not so, in many ways. But, the Bible IS important because it is God’s love story to mankind! It is the manual for living right and for being prepared for eternal life after our earthly departure.
Every few years, Feed the Hunger tries to provide Bibles to the children under our care all over the world. That’s about 7,500 children. Many of those children come into our programs at the age of three and are given an age-appropriate Bible containing mostly pictures. By the time they are six years old, they need fewer pictures and more words. By 11 or 12 years of age, they are ready for a full-fledged Bible.
In addition to our routine Bible replacement, we have been given the unique opportunity of partnering with Jennifer Foster of Stand Out Ministries, who has been given the privilege of providing God’s Word up and down the Amazon River in Brazil during 2016. We’ve promised to help get Bibles for Jen because many families who have NEVER heard the name of Jesus will be impacted eternally by the provision of His Word. It is our desire to help send Bibles to these children, and we hope you’ll help. Every $5 gives one more child the opportunity to be grounded in His Word.
