Whether the strife is based on politics, race, morality, or economics, it seems that we have moved far from the biblical principles on which America was built (and which were often unequally applied to certain groups). So, what is the solution? It is the same for any nation that seeks to be loyal to God: repent of our sins and failures, then ask His forgiveness so we can move forward into true liberty and justice.
