Feed the Hunger Pack-a-thon
at Noonday Baptist Church Kennesaw, GA
September 11, 2010
(This event date has changed to Saturday, September 11th only)

Almost 16,000 children die from hunger related causes everyday. Yet hunger is not a food problem but a distribution problem. Feed the Hunger is trying, to help by getting nutritious food to places with children desperate for food.

Ways to Help:

1. Raise Funds
Feed the Hunger, an initiative of New Directions International with over four decades of experience is helping thousands of at-risk children by partnering with Feed My Starving Children to provide nutritious food to those that need it most. Each serving costs only .25¢; $1,000 provides 4,000 servings of food! Please encourage your church, business or civic group to donate the funds to Feed the Hunger by August 1, 2010. Individuals can give as well.

2. Recruit Volunteers
Find 15 friends and family members (preferably 3rd grade and up) to join you at the packing event. It takes 15 volunteers to pack 4,000 servings during a two-hour packing session. Each volunteer will pack $67 worth of nutritious food or 268 servings.

3. Package Food
You and your volunteer group get to put together the very packets of food that your donations have made possible. This food will then be shipped to at-risk children being helped everyday by Feed the Hunger.

** You can volunteer without donating - Providing there are available time slots. You can also give without volunteering. Raising funds is recommended and encouraged, but not required. Makes checks payable to: NDI or Feed the Hunger**
