How does Feed the Hunger work?
Feed the Hunger is a community of givers – those who give their time, prayers, and resources to feed the spiritual and physical hunger in at-risk children. This includes praying for and encouraging the children on the Interact page, going on a Feed the Hunger trip, and giving $10 or more per month to help at-risk children in need.
Is my monthly giving tax deductible?
Absolutely! You should know that you do not need a receipt if your total giving in a year is less than $250. For annual giving more than $250, you need to contact us for a receipt, which we can send by mail or email. Just use the contact page on this website.
How does NDI and Feed the Hunger handle my gifts?
We take great care and effort into being the best stewards of your resources. NDI is a member in good standard with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, and is also audited annually by an independent auditing firm. You can also view our most current financial summary on ECFA’s website as well.
What is Feed the Hunger’s relationship with New Directions International?
Feed the Hunger is under the ministry umbrella of New Directions International (NDI), an evangelical mission organization founded in 1968 by Dr. J.L. Williams. Our decades of experience help ensure your partnership in Feed the Hunger™ is utilized to the maximum.
For over 40 years, NDI has come alongside strategic Christian leaders overseas and helped equip their ministries to meet the spiritual and physical needs in others. This is primarily achieved in four areas: training leaders, building churches, caring for children, and initiating self-support projects.
NDI has a God-given vision to equip 20,000 church leaders and care daily for 20,000 at-risk children by the year 2020. Feed the Hunger helps make the children's goal of the 2020 Vision become a glorious reality..
Can I take a mission trip with Feed the Hunger?
Yes you can! Trips are available each year for people just like you to personally participate with meeting the spiritual and physical needs of children that you are touching through Feed the Hunger. These trips are a positive, life-changing experience!
Is Feed the Hunger an individual sponsorship program?
No. You cannot sponsor a child through Feed the Hunger. This takes far more resources than $10 a month provides. We have found that many more children can be helped through Feed the Hunger’s current structure. We believe the monthly email updates will encourage, inspire, and assure you that your involvement is making a difference. Going with us on a mission trip is also a great way to deepen your connection.
